Vesak, sometimes referred to as Buddha’s Birthday, is considered as the most important Buddhist festival. It honors the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Gautama Buddha. and demise of Buddhism’s founder, Gautama Buddha. In the Theravada and Mahayana traditions, Vesak is observed on the full moon day of the fourth or sixth lunar month by Buddhists worldwide.
